On one estimate WIND was not successful on, Nicky didn’t seem to mind. Jake asked Nicky, “Why doesn’t it bother you we missed the TDI job?” TDI was a block in Dow’s plant B, back near the river.
Nicky was wearing his boat shoes, just returning from lunch at the dry dock off Hoskins Mound Road in Demi John. Nicky’s yacht was being renovated with an all-new interior and two new 600 horsepower diesel marine engines. Nicky propped his feet up on his desk and said, “Let TC and the other contractors fill up with cheap work and we will take the rest!”
Jake agreed with Nicky’s logic, but Jake knew Nicky was the master at getting work cheap then milking it for all that it was worth!
